Miniature hermetic thermal protector for motors & ballasts

The Klixon 9700 Series is the industry reference for on-winding motor protection: a hermetically sealed, snap-acting bimetal disc senses both winding temperature and motor current to disconnect the circuit before insulation damage occurs. Used as Thermal Motor Protector (TMP) in single-phase induction motors, as Thermal Ballast Protector (TBP) in HID/fluorescent ballasts, and as Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) for general overload protection. Available in normally-closed or normally-open configurations with custom trip/reset temperatures and current ratings.
