Direct drive (DD) torque motors are permanent-magnet synchronous motors mounted directly to the load, eliminating gearboxes and belts. With zero backlash, low inertia and high control bandwidth they are the standard for CNC rotary tables, indexing units, semiconductor wafer handling, optical scanners and cobot joints. IMB Electric's portfolio covers frameless kit motors, housed DD tables, nominal torque from 100 Nm to 5000 Nm, liquid- or air-cooled variants and high-resolution absolute encoder integration. Controlled via industrial servo drives over EtherCAT, PROFINET and Powerlink.
