GigaFuse Series — Hermetic Electromechanical HV DC Fuses400-2500 A

18 models · 400-2500 A continuous · 1000 Vdc · ~5 ms interrupt · Hermetic body · Passive (GFP) and Passive/Active (GFPA) variants · Side or top mount

GIGAVAC GigaFuse is the world's only hermetic electromechanical DC fuse family. Unlike traditional melting-strip fuses it uses an electromechanical interruption mechanism; under fault the magnetic actuator opens the circuit in ~5 ms with arc extinction contained inside the hermetic body.
400-2500 A continuous current, 1000 Vdc bus rating; GFP (passive — autonomous overcurrent protection) and GFPA (passive/active — also openable by external trigger) variants. Hermetic construction delivers low, stable internal resistance immune to humidity, dust and vibration, supporting long life in EV, ESS, DC fast charging and heavy industrial power systems.
Unlike melting fuses, GigaFuse does not age — the current profile does not shift the fuse curve, so protection coordination stays predictable in the field. Side (A) or top (B) mounting is available; the configurator generates the original part-no automatically based on current / mount / function selection.

TECHNICAL DIFFERENTIATORS

Why GigaFuse Series?

Zero Aging — Predictable Coordination

  • Current profile does not drift the fuse curve

Same protection characteristic for years; minimum nuisance-trip risk.

  • Simplified maintenance planning

Field inspection and replacement intervals stay predictable.

GFP and GFPA Variants

  • GFP — passive autonomous protection

Classic short-circuit / overcurrent protection; needs no external signal.

  • GFPA — passive + external-trigger interrupt

Allows the BMS or vehicle controller to disconnect on command when required.

System Architecture Advantage

  • Side (A) or top (B) mount — adapts to bus architecture

Selected by pack volume and busbar entry; electrical parameters are identical.

  • Shared main protection for ESS, EV and fast charging

One fuse family standardises protection across multiple DC architectures.

Fast, Controlled Interruption

  • ~5 ms magnetically triggered interruption

Fast clearing of high-DC bus faults; arc extinction is contained inside the hermetic body.

  • 1000 Vdc bus rating, 400-2500 A range

Main protection element for EV main bus, ESS and DC fast charging systems.

Hermetic Electromechanical Construction

  • World's only hermetic electromechanical DC fuse

Magnetic actuator instead of melting strip; hermetic body fully excludes humidity, dust, vibration.

  • Low and stable internal resistance

Minimum thermal losses; predictable heating profile across the field.
