ABOUT HYDROGEN THYRATRON
Series overview
GLVAC Hydrogen Thyratrons — hot-cathode low-pressure gas discharge devices using hydrogen or deuterium gas. High working voltage, high pulse current, rapid and stable ignition, low trigger voltage. 8 representative models for laser, radar, pulse modulators, medical LINAC, crowbar protection and scientific research.
GLVAC Hydrogen Thyratrons are hot-cathode low-pressure gas discharge devices using hydrogen or deuterium gas. Unlike a classical SCR, they offer a high voltage + high pulse current combination — indispensable for pulse modulator applications.
Typical applications:
- Laser pulse power systems — Excimer, Nd:YAG, fiber laser pumping
- Radar transmitter modulators
- Pulse modulator systems — LTM, Marx
- Medical LINAC — Cancer radiotherapy
- Crowbar protection
- Scientific research — accelerator, plasma, fusion
